RELATIVISTIC EFFECTS IN ELECTRON BERNSTEIN WAVE HEATING AND CURRENT DRIVE
2004
Numerical results show that relativistic effects lead to changes in thedispersion properties of the electron Bernstein wave when comparedto the non-relativistically derived propertiesthe difference in the real part of the wave vector can modifythe propagation characteristics of the EBWs;the difference in the imaginary part of the wave vector canmodifytheregionwheretheEBWsdamponelectronsanddriveplasma currents.
