Transrectal specimen extraction after laparoscopic right hemicolectomy with extended D3 lymph node dissection (anterior medial-to-lateral approach) - video vignette.

2020
: The operation was carried out with the patient in the lithotomy position, with the surgeon located between the patient's legs and the assistant on the right side. The camera holder was on the left side. Pneumoperitoneum was established using a Verres needle placed 5 cm below the umbilicus. The dissection commenced by incising the peritoneum of the ileal mesentery to identify the superior mesenteric vessels. A window in the mesentery was opened to achieve the surface of Gerota's fascia and the duodenum. The mesocolon was gently separated from the anterior surface of the duodenum and the pancreatic head.
