Diiodidobis(thioacetamide‐κS)cadmium(II)

2007
Thioacetamide complexes are used for the synthesis of metal sulfide powders. In the title molecular complex, [CdI2(C2H5NS)2], the CdII atom is located on a twofold rotation axis and is tetrahedrally coordinated by two iodine atoms and two thioacetamide molecules. The Cd—I distance is 2.7615 (17) A and the Cd—S distance is 2.5586 (17) A.
