Superconducting current limiter device of the resistive type with retaining element

2006
The superconducting current limiter device comprising at least one coil (61), whose conductor track is formed with at least one band-shaped superconductor (17), wherein between adjacent coil turns, a holding element (2, 41, 51, 62). The holding element (2, 41, 51, 62) is wider than the superconductor (17) in the axial direction of the coil (61) is formed. The holding element (2, 41, 51, 62) further consists of a flat strip (11) and a corrugated strip (12, 42, 52). The ribbon (11) extends substantially parallel to the band-shaped superconductor (17) at a substantially constant distance (22). The corrugated band (12, 42, 52) extends substantially parallel to the flat band (11) and has in its longitudinal direction periodically removed from the flat regions (15, 43, 53) and the flat band near regions (13). The regions close to the flat band (13) of the corrugated band (12, 42, 52) comprise a mechanical connection (21) with the flat strip (11). The remote from the flat regions (15, 43, 53) of the corrugated strip have such recesses (16), that an at least approximately accurately fitting with respect to the flat strip (11) spaced receiving the band-shaped superconductor (17) is made possible.
