Development of Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) for Detection of Anti-Hepatitis B Virus Surface Antigen
2012
The test for detection of anti-hepatitis B virus surface antigen is widely used the amount of imported test kits are increasing. But the cost still was being expensive. Therefore, a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was developed by using HBsAg purified from plasmas of hepatitis B virus carriers as starting materials. Comparison with imported test kit (Sorin Biomedical, Italy), the result showed that 138 and 135 samples were positive by developed ELISA and Sorin Biomedical, respectively and 133 of same samples are positive by both ELISA tests, sensitivity and specificity are 98.5% and 98.1% respectively and the developed ELISA is practical, rapid and high potential in production of diagnostic test kit for anti-HBs detection. Key words: Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent assay (ELISA), anti-hepatitis B virus surface antigen.
