Prediction of slag formation from the chemical composition of fly ash particles

A mathematical model for predicting slag formation from the chemical composition of fly ash particles is presented. The problem is timely, inasmuch as a properly selected model will make it possible to obtain data concerning slag formation on heat surfaces and to take adequate measures for preventing the detrimental impact of this phenomenon without inconvenient and expensive experiments on burning.
