Phase diagram of the partly filled 2D-hexagonal sublattice of conduction ions in compounds based on AgCrS2

Abstract The phase diagram of the 2D silver subsystem in layered materials based on AgCrS 2 is very narrow and asymmetric. This is attributed to many-body interactions, caused by strong displacive relaxation of the silver ions. The importance of displacive disorder in these ionic conductors is confirmed by Diffuse X-ray and Far Infrared measurements.
