Study soil water vertical transporting in loess unsaturated using stable isotope

2011
In order to study the vertical movement of soil water, two loess profiles were sampled in Weinan on July 22, 2007 and March 22, 2008. Oxygen isotope compositions of soil water from the two profiles were measured to reveal information about soil water vertical transporting amount in unsaturated zone. The result show that soil water moved upwards and the vertical transporting amount is about 6.89mm at 230cm depth.
