Fingerprint identification apparatus and method thereof

The invention discloses a fingerprint identification apparatus and a method thereof and belongs to the information technology field. The apparatus comprises a fingerprint sensor, at least two humidity detection electrodes and a processing module. The fingerprint sensor and the at least two humidity detection electrodes are connected to the processing module. The at least two humidity detection electrodes are located in a preset scope of the fingerprint sensor. When a user finger touches the fingerprint sensor and the at least two humidity detection electrodes, the fingerprint sensor is used for outputting a fingerprint signal to the processing module; and the processing module is used for acquiring a characteristic value and the characteristic value forms positive correlation with a resistance value between the at least two humidity detection electrodes. The processing module is also used for determining a fingerprint identification parameter matching with the characteristic value and carrying out fingerprint identification according to the determined fingerprint identification parameter and a fingerprint signal. In the invention, the adopted fingerprint identification parameter matches with humidity of a user finger, fingerprint identification performance is improved, fingerprint identification accuracy is increased, multitime fingerprint images are not needed and time is shortened.
