Observation of de Haas-van Alphen oscillations in a lithium dispersion

De Haas-van Alphen oscillations of magnetic susceptibility have been observed in a lithium dispersion in paraffin wax. Analysis of the results provides an upper bound for the distortion of the Fermi surface, which is inconsistent with contact with the Brillouin zone faces. An estimate has been obtained for the mean value of the cyclotron mass.
