Identification of Lignum Aquilariae Resinatum Qinan from Four Species by FTIR Spectrum

Objects: To study the identification method of Lignum Aquilariae Resinatum Qinan from four species (Yellow Qinan, Green Qinan, Black Qinan, and Violet Qinan) by Fourier transform infrared spectrum (FTIR),and supply the science data for identification of Lignum Aquilariae Resinatum Qinan. Methods: Determine the infrared spectrum and secondary derivative infrared spectrum by Fourier transform. Results: The characteristic peaks of four species are:2929, 1735, 1659, 1512, 1454, 1377, 1329, 1267, 1160, 1055, 897, 700, 561cm-1。In addition, 1244 cm-1 is the characteristic peaks of Yellow Qinan;1650, 1384, 1246, 1122, 849, 781, 759 cm-1 is the characteristic peaks of Green Qinan;1602, 1103、10034、861、750 is the characteristic peaks of Black Qinan; 1638, 1601, 1388, 1272, 1246, 1122, 1032, 965, 847, 780, 758 cm-1 is the characteristic peaks of Violet Qinan. In secondary derivative infrared spectrum, the strength of peaks at 1658, 1512, 1454, 1377, 1317, 1163, 1128, 895, 780, 700 cm-1 enhances, and the mark becomes more obviously. From the spectrum,Green Qinan and Violet Qinan are more similar than the others. Conclusion: FTIR method can be applied to discriminate different Qinan rapidly, effectively and non-destructively.
