Reducing the particle size of LiFePO4 enabled by yeast

Single-phased LiFePO4 with smaller particle size were successfully prepared via hydrothermal route assisted by yeast acted as both size-reducing agent and carbon sources. The as-synthesized product exhibited excellent electrochemical property and cycling stability, We believe that this promising and facile synthesis-strategy enables other hydrothermally synthesized materials with minimizing particle size.
