Static and dynamic imaging performance analysis of pentagonal pixel array detector

To analyze the imaging performance of pentagonal-shaped pixel array detectors, static and dynamic modulation transfer functions (MTFs) are established. To obtain the static MTF, the analytical expressions of both the aperture function and sampling function are first determined, and then, the static MTF of the detector is deduced according to its definition. In addition, the dynamic MTF of the detector for linear motion imaging is established.
