Updated analysis of atmospheric neutrino data

2003
Abstract In the context of the latest (79.5 kTy ) Super-Kamiokande atmospheric neutrino data, we present an updated analysis of the mass and mixing parameters relevant for two-, three-, and four-family neutrino mixing. Oscillations in the ν μ →ν τ channel clearly emerge as the dominant mechanism responsible for the atmospheric ν μ anomaly, with no significant indication for subdominant mixing with electron or sterile neutrinos. Upper bounds on subdominant mixing angles are also discussed.
