The Weitek 64-bit Floating-point Datapath Unit

The WTL 3164 and VVTL 3364, jointly referred to as the WTL 3X64 are each 64-bit floating-point datapath units designed for high-speed operation in pipelined environment while making possible full compliance with the IEEE standard for binary floating-point arithmetic, as well as full interruptibility, including in pipelined environment. This paper describes the architecture and performance of the 3X64.
