Effect of Rotation Speed on Performance of Friction Stir Welded Spray-Formed 7055 Aluminum Alloy
2021
Ultra-high-strength spray-formed 7055 aluminum alloy was welded at different rotation speeds with a constant welding speed of 175 mm/min by friction stir welding, the aim of which was to assess the effects of rotation speed on the microstructure, properties, and phase evolution of the joint. In addition, the effects of strengthening phase distribution on the joint properties were also evaluated.
