Leapfrog: Be Included: co-designing tools for person-centered evaluation of services for adults with learning difficulties
2017
Can tools be co-designed with service providers to enable more person-centered evaluation of health and care services for adults with learning difficulties?
Care service providers and commissioners believe that a person-centered approach is crucial in supporting decision making for health and social care for adults with learning difficulties. Supporting people to articulate their needs and views is imperative to putting appropriate supports in place. The challenge for providers is to enable adults with learning difficulties to have effective input into the ways in which they are supported. The Be Included project aims to develop creative evaluation tools that can give service users an active voice in the evaluation of current services. We will look at how evaluation of services is currently approached, find opportunities for new approaches, and work with our partners to develop new tools to support inclusive evaluation.
