The present invention relates to a method of preparing a lithium ion battery positive electrode material doped with strontium salt of lithium nickel manganese oxide, comprising the steps of: preparing a raw material, the synthesis reaction, the high temperature sintering. The product of the present invention is a new ternary metal oxide cathode material, the material composition of Li or lithium ion battery C, having a high specific capacity, high rate characteristics and good cycling performance; electrical properties and good consistency of the material , simple process, low cost, without complex and expensive production apparatus.
