Extensão e comunicação rural para o desenvolvimento agroecológico no município de Mercês, MG

The finality of this report is to present the experiences of the extension project of the InstitutionalSupport Program for Extension (PIAEX), 2016 edition, of the Rio Pomba campus of theFederal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of the Minas Gerais Southeast, whichin association the Non-Govermental Organization Socioambiental Ecovida, from Merces city,sought attend family farmers. After to know the local demand, the objective of this project wasguide and train family farmers interested in agroecological production system and organic,in addition the organize in the creation of a Social Control Organization (SCO) to offer theirsorganic products to the local community. The time project was of 5 months, which it madeimpossible to follow each farmer engaged in project. In addition, it is necessary to know betterthe demand and local reality to attend all the common expectations of farmers group, and evenso, it was possible identify specific points and develop mitigating actions. The knowledge of thelocal reality will contribute to the development of future projects.
