Treatment of cervical mucus infection by means of doxycycline polyphosphate in 53 hypofertile women

Cervical mucus infection is often considered as a possible cause of infertility1. Darugna et al. observed this abnormality in 13% of women consulting for infertility2. Nevertheless, pregnancies do occur in certain women whose cervical mucus is infected, and thus it is not an obligatory factor in proving sterility.
