Антифибротический эффект мелатонина при формировании синдрома сочетанных дистрофически-дегенеративных изменений мезенхимальных производных при локальном хроническом воспалительном процессе

We studied influence of melatonin on development of fibroses in liver of 24 mature Vistar male rats. The model of secondary disorganization in connective tissue was adapted for small laboratory animals. Intact age-matched animals were the control group. We determined area occupied by collage fibers (after Van Gieson'spicrofuchsin staining) and sulfated glycosaminoglycanes (after alcian blue staining in pH=1.0) in the regions of triads, vessels walls and surroundings. The two stage immunochistochemical method was applied to study proliferation marker Ki-67. Our data showed that melatonin prevents fibroblasts proliferation, collagen and chondroitinsulfat synthesis.
