Performance financiera de las empresas hoteleras españolas no integradas en grupos empresariales o cadenas hoteleras

espanolLas empresas hoteleras, con uno o pocos establecimientos, presentan caracteristicas propias respecto a las empresas pertenecientes a grupos empresariales o insertas en grandes cadenas hoteleras. En este estudio se aborda como ha sido la performance financiera de estas empresas en Espana y su relacion con una serie de variables clave que pueden estar influyendo directamente sobre el desempeno hotelero. Estas variables son la tipologia del hotel, la calidad en la prestacion de los servicios y la presencia en redes sociales. Entre los resultados se evidencia que los hoteles de Sol y Playa presentan mejores resultados en los diferentes indicadores de perfomance financiera (rentabilidad financiera, rentabilidad economica, margen neto), mientras que el numero de estrellas parece tener un cierto nivel de significacion en el margen neto y la simple disposicion de redes sociales no supone una mejora en la remuneracion de los socios o en la capacidad productividad de estos hoteles. EnglishThe hotel companies, with one or few establishments, present their own characteristics with respect to companies belonging to business groups or inserted in large hotel chains. This study deals with the financial performance of these companies in Spain and their relationship with a series of key variables that may be directly influencing hotel performance. These variables are the typology of the hotel, the quality in the provision of the services and the presence in social networks. Among the results it is shown that the sun and beach hotels present better results in the different indicators of financial performance (return on equity, return on assets, net margin), while the number of stars seems to have a certain level of significance in the net margin and the simple disposition of social networks does not imply a improvement in the remuneration of the partners or in the productivity capacity of these hotels.
