The present invention discloses a solar cell and a preparation method for converting a non-rare earth, the conversion of the solar cell with an aluminum back electrode are sequentially disposed from the lower layer to the lower non-rare earth, P-type silicon layer, N + type silicon layer, aluminum or silver grid the wire electrode, a silicon layer and a lower conversion pyramid suede nano particle layer particles down conversion layer, the nanoparticles are nano-vanadate. The production method of solar cell conversion without rare earth comprising: 1) by a hydrothermal method, a sol-gel method, co-precipitation method to prepare nano vanadate; 2) an organic solvent-dispersed nanoparticles; 3) by the Czochralski method, a spin coating the nanoparticles coated on the silicon pyramid textured surface to form a nanoparticle layer down conversion; 4) at a certain temperature, the samples were dried in a thermostatic oven battery. Converting solar cell having high photoelectric conversion efficiency, simple process and low cost advantages of such a rare earth-free.
