Study on the homology of two strains of vibrio cholerae.

2010
[Objective]To study the homology of 2 strains of vibrio cholerae firstly isolated from the same market one time in Shiyan city, and trace the source of infection and identify the routes of transmission.[Methods]Virulence genes such as ctxA,zot, ace and tcpA were detected through PCR,and then the whole genome was analyzed by PFGE.[Results]The virulence genes of these two strains were negative, with homology rate of PFGE was 100%.The shrimp was contaminated by unfrozen water, and the infection of pork occurred in sample transport.[Conclusion]Cholera monitoring should be strengthened to prevent the outbreak and prevalence of cholera;sample collector need to be paid more attention to the safety of samples in collection and transport to avoid cross-contamination.
