The invention discloses a permanent-magnet vertical-ring high-gradient strong magnetic separator, which comprises a driving device, a separating ring which is vertically installed and is driven by the driving device and a permanent magnetic system which acts on a lower section part of the separating ring, wherein the permanent magnetic system is arranged to surround the lower section part of the separating ring and comprises a permanent magnetic pole group, and an upper field yoke and a lower field yoke, which are respectively arranged above and below the permanent magnetic group. Due to the adoption of the permanent-magnet vertical-ring high-gradient strong magnetic separator, the high energy consumption problem of the present electromagnetic vertical-ring strong magnetic separator can be solved, while weak magnetic minerals can be recycled.
