Sistema basado en ontología para el apoyo a la toma de decisiones en el proceso de gestión ambiental empresarial

2013
One of the most currently used knowledge representation forms are ontologies; which offer dissimilar advantages for modeling, generation, distribution and use of knowledge produced and accumulated in organizations. Given these advantages for knowledge management, ontologies are widely used to manage large volumes of environmental information that arise from this process, primarily the historical storage of environmental indicators. It is for this reason has implemented a computer system for the management of environmental knowledge based on ontology OntoEnvironmental; which model the environmental indicators that rules the environmental management business process. To facilitate access to modeled knowledge in the ontology was implemented a computer system built on a software architecture based on ontology, which integrates the technologies needed to manage the semantic knowledge. This architecture allows through the inference engine constituted by Jena and OWL API frameworks, along with the Pellet reasoned to extract the implicit knowledge on the ontology. Also, the ontology detects the alteration of an indicator if it exceeds a limit value, recommending the possible environmental impacts, the indicator alteration causes and mitigation actions. To modelate OntoEnvironmental was used the NeOn methodology, the OWL-DL language and OpenLink Virtuoso tool for the management of the ontology in the proposed architecture. Keywords
