Developments in Raney nickel catalysts for hexamethylendiamine production

Methods for preparation of Raney nickel catalysts for hydrogenation of adiponitrile to hexamethylendiamine were reviewed,including mainly preparation of Al-Ni alloys by smelting,high energy ball-milling and quenching.The condition for dealuminization with alkali fusion and the effects of microstructure formed after activation on the activity and selectivity were investigated.Different methods for preparation of supported amorphous alloys catalysts were compared.
