Analysis on Damping Ratio of Composite Structure of Pharmaceutical Factory

In this paper, the damping ratio of Beijing Biological Pharmaceutical Factory, as a composite structure, is explored by using the MIDAS/GEN. Four 3D models, are established in order to consider the effects of material on structure, single damping ratio and the group of damping ratios is introduced respectively to calculate elastic inters Tory angular displacement and elastic plastic inters Tory angular displacement. The results of both methods are compared so that the damping ratio of the composite structure can be estimated, which provides a foundation for similar structures in earthquake action calculation of damping ratio.
