The Expression and Significance of FHIT Gene and Cell Apoptosis in Cervical Carcinoma

2011
Objective:To discuss the expression and significance of FHIT protein and cell apoptosis in cervical carcinoma. Methods:Expression of FHIT protein was detected by immunohistochemical and the apoptosis positivity was detected by T-dUTP nick end labeling techniques(TUNEL)in 62 cases of squamous cell cervical carcinoma. Results:There were significant differences between FHIT expression and histological grades and lymphnode metastasis(P0.05),FHIT expression was not correlated with age, clinical stage and diameter of the tumour. There were significant differences between cell apoptosis and histological grades, lymph node metastasis, clinical stage and diameter of the tumour.Cell apoptosis is related with. Conclusion:FHIT expression and cell apoptosis are associated with pathogenesis and development of cervical carcinoma,FHIT protein is associated with cell apoptosis.
