Heavy head trauma and football: report of six cases

The authors report 6 cases of head trauma consequent to football (soccer) game. In 5 cases, the trauma resulted from a direct encounter with another player, in one case it rose due to a header given to the ball soaked with rain. The post-traumatic cerebral pathology was represented by subdural haematoma (2 cases), epidural haematoma (2 cases), haemorragic contusion (2 cases).
