The distribution of chromium and carbon in quenched steem 35Kh5
1990
A study is made of the effect of austenitization programmes on the distribution of chromium in the solid solution after the γ→α martensitic transformation. During austenization, chromium and carbon-enriched zones are formed which have a layared structure in which the chromium-rich planes alternate with planes of pure iron. Chromium atoms mainly collect in planes {111}α
