Performance of dilution refrigerators

The authors have shown that when analyzing the performance of a dilution refrigerator proper attention must be paid to enthalpy considerations. The use of the proper relationship in determining cooling powers and effective surface area can serve not only as a diagnostic tool but as an aid in design of dilution refrigerators. 2 references.
