Fine sheet-like boehmite particle and production therefor

PURPOSE: To obtain fine sheet-like Boehmite particles useful as various Rind fillers by performing a hydrothermal treatment on aluminum hydroxide which adjusted in its particle size to a submicron order or an alumina hydrate in water or an aqueous alkaline solution. CONSTITUTION: The aluminum hydroxide which was adjusted in the particle size to a submicron order or the alumina hydrate is used as a starting raw material and they are subjected to hydrothermal treatmant at ≥150°C and at ≤100atm in water or an aqueous alkaline solution. The fine sheet-like Beohmite particles thus obtained have an orthorhombic system in the crystal form whose specific crystal surface is grown in a plane sheet form.
