DINHEIRO NÃO TRAZ FELICIDADE? ALGUMAS REVELAÇÕES DO INDICADOR DE FELICIDADE INTERNA BRUTA

This study aimed to apply and discuss an adaptation of Gross National Happiness (GNH) questionnaire, developed by the Bhutan Studies Center, in a Brazilian medium-sized city in order to evaluate the differences between the levels of happiness of individuals according to demographic aspects partner. For this, we chose a descriptive quantitative approach being applied 403 questionnaires by stratified random sampling. The results showed that residents in prime areas of the city had higher levels of happiness than those individuals who live in poor locations, with high levels of violence and crime, bringing questions about the impact of social class and local security on the happiness of individuals. We expected that this study would contribute to a better understanding of the phenomenon studied and encourage new thinking and discussions.
