Method and device for processing numbers in messages

The invention relates to a method and a device for processing numbers in messages. The method includes: when a message transmitted by a sender is received, extracting the number of the sensor and/or a communication number in the content of the message; inquiring the contact information corresponding the number of the sensor and/or the communication number; displaying the contact information, corresponding to the number of the sender and/or the communication number, in the message. The device comprises an extracting module, an inquiring module and a display module. By the method and the device, digital numbers are mapped into the literal contact information to be presented to users.
