Research on Forging Process for Tie-bar End Multi-way Die Based on FEM

The tie-bar end was produced by open-drop forging and machining,the material waste of the flash is serious and the utilization rate is low(the weight of cutting stock is 5.5 kg).The mechanical workout is inefficient and complex,furthermore,the break of the metal fibrous tissue can lead to a lower life-span.The forming process for the tie-bar end is optimized by multi-way die forging and FEM.The forging has little flash,and the holesare is formed by forging primarily,the optimization weight of the cutting stock is 3.5 kg,which can save material by 36.4%.
