ITIL ® (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) is a standard developed by the British Government and adopted worldwide for the Management of Information Technology (IT) Services. This framework covers the entire life cycle of services in Information Technology: service strategy, service design, service transition, service operation, and continuous improvement. The purpose of this study was to verify whether Brazilian companies adopt the domain "Service Strategy" of ITIL. This domain tends to be overlooked due to the existence of others domains with more immediate results. The methodology of the study consisted in using an on-line survey targeting 96 IT professionals. The data were processed and analyzed with MS Excel ® and NetDraw ® network analysis software. The results showed a significant acceptance of the "Service Strategy" domain by Brazilian companies.
