The invention discloses a manufacturing method for a furnace bottom roller. The manufacturing method comprises the following steps: manufacturing a nickel-based roller ring and a roller core, and fixing the nickel-based roller ring on the roller core to obtain a prefabricated furnace bottom roller; clearing the surface of the nickel-based roller ring to obtain fusion covering powder which comprises 80%-90% (in percentage by mass) of NiCr-Cr3C2, WC, TiN and rare earth; fixing the prefabricated furnace bottom roller on a machine tool, adopting a laser welder to carry out laser fusion covering on the surface of the nickel-based roller ring 21, and feeding fusion covering powder to the surface of the nickel-based roller ring; and carrying out thermal treatment on the nickel-based roller ring subjected to fusion covering to obtain the furnace bottom roller. According to the manufacturing method, laser fusion covering is carried out on the surface of the nickel-based roller ring, and fusion covering powder comprising NiCr-Cr3Cr2, WC, TiN and the rare earth is fed to the surface of the nickel-based roller ring during fusion covering to form a composite coating, so that wear resistance is improved, accumulated burls are effectively reduced, and the service life is prolonged; and in comparison with cost of a cobalt-based roller ring, the cost of the nickel-based roller ring is reduced.
