Estrategias de reproducción social y satisfacción de necesidades. Parte I "Controversias conceptuales, polémicas prácticas"

2010
The current crisis of capitalism is clearly more severe, complex and longer than ever what generates that large sectors of the world"Ÿs population found it difficult to guarantee the satisfaction of their needs. In this context, the idividuals carry "into action" their productive capacities, developing activities which are aimed to achieve real benefits. These capabilities are known as "social reproductive strategies" and they intend to satisfy the needs, the reproduction of life. This reproduction works for the satisfaction of needs varying the quality and the quantity, either from self-preservation (by strengthening the individuality in both the system of identification of needs and the searching of satisfaction) or by creating collective forms of resolution. And in this sense, being constitutive of capitalist society put pressure their own logic, because they stand against the dehumanization that generates, though not always involve the establishment of practices, values and emancipatory ways. Both trends have been materialized in the reproduction of strategies, a highly polysemic concept, which has generated debates (not yet cleared) in various social scientific disciplines. In order to identify their contributions, limitations, historical vicissitudes and its conceptual and empirical links, recovering an analysis of the not explicit class and gender inequalities, I am comitted to this article.
