Endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration with contrast-enhanced harmonic imaging for diagnosis of gallbladder tumor (with video).

2020
It is sometimes challenging to characterize gallbladder tumors with conventional imaging methods[1] . Endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration (EUS-FNA) is an effective method for obtaining tissue from gallbladder tumors, although it carries the risk of bile leakage and needle-track seeding[2-4] . Contrast-enhanced harmonic EUS (CH-EUS) is reportedly useful for discriminating fluid spaces from gallbladder tumors and identifying the target lesion site[5] .
