The use of energy dispersive x-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) as an approximate method of analysing ash and sulphur content in the coals of the Asturias, Spain

1994
The use of coal in power plants needs a prior knowledge of the ash and sulphur content. The instrumental analysis of these parameters by means of radioisotope energy dispersive x-ray fluorescence is a rapid and non-destructive method whose application to coals can be very attractive when compared with traditional methods of laboratory analysis
