I Have a Twitter Profile: What Do I Want to Happen to It if I Die?

Settings to manage digital assets for digital legacy purposes are already offered by some social networks like Facebook and Instagram. However, Twitter does not offer this option yet, according to our analysis of its features and terms of use. But what do people who have a Twitter profile think about it? Is there any interest in them being able to choose in life what will happen to their data in this social network in case of death? This is an exploratory research, with a qualitative approach. This paper presents an analysis of Twitter's terms of use and the partial results of a survey applied to Twitter users. Based on our findings, we propose some innovations for digital legacy in this social network.
