PENGEMBANGAN SISTEM PICONET PERVASIVE MELALUI JARINGAN BLUETOOTH SEBAGAI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN DI PERGURUAN TINGGI

The purpose of this research is to develop Piconet Pervasive system using client-server point to point topology tomultipoint connection using Android operating system on client side and optimize data transmission rate(throughput, delay, jitter and packet loss) that meet Cisco streaming video QoS standard, on streaming videoover a Bluetooth network, by utilizing mobile phones and computer media in an environment that has Wi-Fi andWi-Fi. Research methods include; analysis of BluetoothPiconet Pervasive network system, system design, audiovideocompression, trail hints, system testing, system performance measurement, and measurement analysis,expert performance appraisal, system optimization and implementation of learning activities. The expected resultof this research is to produce the best performance and optimal parameters in the video streaming rate data thatmeet the Cisco QoS video streaming standard for throughput, delay, jitter and packet loss.This research resultedin 3.5% packet loss value in non-Wi-Fi and 4.01% environments in Wi-Fi environments at a distance of 5 mclient-server, by analyzing and optimizing Piconet Pervasive performance. The results of this study can beimplemented as a learning media at the university based on Bluetooth technology that is power efficient, low costand easy to use.
