[ANGLES] The main objective is the implementation of an automated system for the characterization of grid connected photovoltaic applications. This project arises by the need of automating the configuration and the measures extraction of photovoltaic systems. The manual characterization requires many hours of work with highly repetitive actions. With the implementation of the automated platform, these problems are avoided and a complete photovoltaic system characterization can be easily achieved. The automated system implementation is based on the design and the development of a LabVIEW application. On the one hand, this application allows defining the actions sequence that will be done totally automatically, such as the instruments configuration, the data acquisition, the activation of certain circuit elements, the captures with oscilloscope waveforms, etc. When these actions are finished, different reports are generated with the photovoltaic system characterization results. On the other hand, and not least, the application allows the remote control of each instrument that is used for supply, configuration and characterization of the grid connected photovoltaic system. Finally, to test the functionality of the automated platform developed in this project, a practical example is presented, in which the performance of two fabrication MOSFETs technologies (Silicon and Carbide Silicon) are comparatively evaluated on the photovoltaic system.
