The application of nasal irrigation in endoscopic surgery of sinusitis

Objective:To discuss the application and effects of nasal irrigation after endoscopic sinus surgery in nose-sinusitis treatment.Methods:Selected 284 patients in our hospital endoscopic sinus surgery from September 2007 to September 2010 and divided into treatment group and control group randomly.Treatment group had 142 patients and for drug nasal irrigation and nasal endoscopy dressing after endoscopic sinus surgery.Control group had 142 patients and took routine endoscopic nasal dressing.Compared efficacy of two groups after 2 months.Results:After 2 months,the treatment group were cured 72 patients,improved in 50 cases,20 cases ineffective,the effective rate was 85.92%.Control group,46 patients were cured,34 cases improved,62 cases ineffective,the effective rate was 56.34%,the cure rate and total effective rate were significantly different(P<0.05).Conclusion:Sinusitis nasal lavage increases the cure rate and reduces postoperative side effects.
