Geographic and socio - economic health inequalities are realities that cannot be denied as characteristics for every human community. In this paper, authors based on two composite indicators created to reflect socio - economic deprivation and population health status in Neamt County, conducted a territorialisation of the mentioned dimensions, with the main purpose to underline the differences between territorial - administrative units. To assess the intensity of the relationship between deprivation and health and to identify the correlation degree between the two elements, statistic analysis was used. It is well known that a low level of socio - economic development of a population is accompanied by a poor health. The results can be used as starting points to calibrate public health policies according to local characteristics, measures needed when reduction of geographic and socio - economic inequalities are to be obtained.
