Prologed Bilateral Dislocation of the Temporomandibular Joint-A Case Report and Literature Review

A case of traumatic prolonged bilateral dislocation of the temporomandibular joint is presented. Manual reduction and traction under general anesthesia and muscle relaxants successfully repositioned the dislocated condyles which were impacted in the infratemporal area. The causative mechanism, diagnostic features, clinical management are disucussed and the literature is reviewed.
