Pakistan And India Interests In The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (Sco): A Critical Analysis

In this Paper, we will discuss one such regional organization that is playing its role in safeguarding the human rights of its member countries in order to achieve peace and security by eliminating all forms of violence taking place as a result of terrorism. This organization is Shanghai Cooperation Organization, commonly known as SCO, which was established in the year 2001 with the purpose of achieving peace in Asia. The member states of this organization are Russia, China, India, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan. The organization is meant to improve the security and cooperation of its member countries. The three core principles taken by SCO are sovereignty, territorial integrity, and non-interference. The SCO facilitates cooperation among its member states so that the issues like economy, cultural exchange, health, security, terrorism, etc can be addressed with proper teamwork and effectiveness. In this Paper, firstly we will discuss the SCO generally and then we will discuss SCO in perspective of security and terrorism with regard to Pakistan as Pakistan is a country which has suffered a lot because of this menace of terrorism.
