The invention provides a color image morphological filtering method based on a full map space. The problems that the existing color image filtering method has the disadvantages of different degrees of color blur and poor effect and a color which is not part of an original color image is introduced in a color image filtering process are solved. The method comprises the steps that (1) a color image to be filtered is input; (2) the image is mapped to the full image space; (3) a structure chart is selected; (4) the most value of an eight neighborhood weighted color map is calculated; (5) an averaging filter is used; and (6) a color image filtering result is output. According to the invention, the integrity of color information is protected; the emergence of new color components is effectively prevented; the advantages of a topology structure of the image are protected; under the condition of balanced color distribution, the color image is effectively filtered; and the method can be used for image denoising.
