Design and Analysis of the Steering and Braking Integrated Control Network for Commercial Vehicle

The control strategy structure of the steering and braking integrated control system for commercial vehicle is designed. According to the communication characteristics of the steering and braking integrated control system for commercial vehicle, the Controller Area Network (CAN) is designed, which includes steering module, braking module, information collection & display module, integrated control module and diagnosis module. The application layer protocol of the steering and braking integrated control network for commercial vehicle is designed according to SAE J1939 standard. Rate Monotonic Analysis (RMA) theory is adopted to analyze performance of the designed network, and experiments are carried out through hardware-in-the-loop. The test results show that the designed steering and braking integrated control network is applicable in commercial vehicle owing to its good performance in reliability and real-time.
